The launcher for apps, files, Claude Code, Codex and a terminal. There when you ask. Gone the instant you don’t.
macOS 14 or later · Apple silicon
The moglight cat in a dark room, seen only by its glowing eyes. Now and then a short demo of moglight’s launcher plays under them. Press Option Space, or the button above, to use it yourself: type to search, arrows to pick a result, Tab to ask an agent, Escape to hide it.
Shortcuts
Every tool at your fingertips, and every shortcut yours to change.
A backlit laptop keyboard that opens as you scroll: Option Space presses, moglight’s panel appears above the keys, and three letters find Slack. Choose a shortcut from the list to see its keys press and its tool appear: Tab hands a task to your default agent, Control Option Space opens the agent chat, Control Shift Space drops down the terminal, Command Shift I makes an image, and Escape hides moglight until you need it.
Search
Every file on your Mac, found as you type.
A live demo: moglight's launcher searches every file on a Mac as a query is typed. Behind it the whole disk, as a folder tree, races past and slows with every keystroke until it stops on the folders that hold the matches, and a light flies from each match to its row in the launcher. The search field is real: type your own query, use the up and down arrows to pick a result, and press Escape to clear it.
Agent-native
Bring the Claude or ChatGPT subscription you already have — or, through pi, any model you like, local or cloud.
A moglight agent chat on Claude Code, Claude Opus, answers a quick question at once: how to undo the last commit but keep the changes. Command-N opens a new chat, and its model menu switches it to Codex, on ChatGPT, which starts finding out why an orders page is slow. While it works, another new chat switches to a local model, Ollama qwen3-coder, which reads and edits a file and runs the tests. Both agents work at once: Codex fixes an N+1 query, and the local model’s tests pass. Over the chat, Local, Cloud and Both light up as each kind of model works. The model button opens the menu, so you can pick any model and hear its answer.
Ask about your screen
Type a question about your screen. Your agent gets a screenshot with it.
Taken only when you ask, with moglight left out of the shot.
Terminal
Built on Ghostty. Shells keep running while it’s hidden. 460+ themes.
A demo: moglight's terminal, built on Ghostty, in the middle of a session. It runs a command, then flips through Ghostty themes in rhythm and lands on a favorite, Rose Pine first. Hidden with Control-Shift-Space and shown again, its npm run dev tab has kept serving requests.
Computer use
They open apps, read windows, click and type — in the background, without taking your cursor.
A miniature Mac desktop. An agent’s cyan pointer opens Notes, clicks New Note, types a checklist — ship the release notes, reply to Sam, book the venue — then reads the Downloads folder in Finder. Your own pointer stays still in the corner the whole time. Beside it, moglight’s agent chat lists each step as it happens.
Off by default. Powered by Cua.
Image chat
Describe it, then ask for changes.
A demo of moglight's image chat, which Command Shift I opens. In the empty chat, "make a pixel-art cat for the README" is sent, and a pixel-art cat on a night sky appears. Then "now make its eyes glow" returns the same cat with glowing eyes, which lifts out of the picture for a moment, and Command N starts a new, empty image chat.
Agents
Press Tab and it runs where you work: Claude Code, Codex, the Claude app, any CLI.
A demo: moglight opens and “fix the flaky checkout test” is typed. Tab turns it into a prompt for an agent, and it goes out three ways at once. Claude Code opens in a terminal, the Codex app opens on a new chat and the Claude app opens on a new Code session, each already working on the prompt: they run the test, find that the click on Pay isn't awaited, fix it and run the test again until it passes.
Hide and bring back
Hide it mid-answer. Your agent keeps going, and your windows never move.
A demo: a browser and a code editor sit behind moglight’s agent chat, where Claude Code is finding out why CI is red: prices lose their trailing zeros, so a total of $42.80 shows as $42.8. Option Space hides the chat at once, and neither window moves. While it is hidden, the fix lands on line 13 in the editor, the test watcher under it turns from failed to passed, and the shop in the browser shows $42.80. Option Space brings the chat back with the finished answer: all 28 tests pass. Use the button, or Option Space while it has focus.
More
All the small jobs, right where you type.
A whole catalog. Or ask an agent to build yours.
Press Option Space to open moglight. Animation: Create Extension makes a Pull Requests extension and, with Create with Agent (Shift Command Return), hands it to Claude Code, which builds it inside moglight; its Open Pull Requests command then runs from root search. Then the extension store installs another extension.
Talk instead of typing. On-device.
Press Command D to dictate. Animation: moglight starts listening, and spoken words appear in its search bar.
Everything you copied, searchable.
Press Control Option V for clipboard history. Animation: each copy lands at the top of a searchable list of text, colors, images, links and files.
Math and conversions as you type.
Animation: typing 12% of 2400 answers 288 as you type; 10 km to mi answers 6.21 mi.
Type ;addr, get the whole address.
Animation: typing the keyword ;addr in a message expands it into a full address.
Tile anything from the keyboard.
Animation: windows snap to halves, thirds and full screen as layout commands run.
Quick answers from Apple’s on‑device model, on macOS 26.
Animation: a question typed in moglight’s search goes to Ask Apple Intelligence, and Quick AI answers it with Apple’s on-device model. Needs macOS 26.
Your setup on every Mac, through a folder you already sync.
Animation: a setting changed on one Mac travels through a synced folder and appears on another Mac.
